The human sleep cycle consists of five stages, which are categorized into two main types. The Non-REM (NREM) sleep and the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep.

Stage 1 (N1):
Light sleep, transition between wakefulness and sleep.

Stage 2 (N2):
